Change Report Date Format

Right now, when I export to Excel, I can't use their feature to change to date and I can only organize alphabetically. I want ot be able to sort my data by volunteer than by date, but with the current date format, it won't let me.

    please offer alternative date formats to the American date format where the date is set in day/month/year when viewed online and in reports.
