I used to be a classroom teacher and when I would need a substitute teacher, I would create an absence in our absence reporting system, similar to the way I now create an "Event" in Track it Forward. However, as soon as I created an absence, all substitute teachers who created accounts and were a part of our system would receive an email or text alert letting them know that a subbing opportunity has been created. I would love to have a feature like this for Track it Forward and our volunteers. Rather than have to rely on volunteers going to the calendar and browse the events, it would be wonderful if they would receive a notification that an opportunity that fits their interests and availability.
